Hello! Welcome to my blog 🙂 I’m Momo and I’m so excited to meet you virtually.

A quick intro: I’m an elder emo millennial gamer girl who loves to play farming sims & ghost hunting games. I’m an INFJ, Enneagram 1 or 9, and I’m a highly sensitive person. I’m kinda chill, kinda chaotic, very chatty, but mostly here to build community with other millennials looking to escape that 9-5!

I am a random internet person who has decided to branch out into the world of blogging. I currently am pretty into Instagram mostly posting about gaming, anime, manga, and snacks. I also stream on Twitch and create videos on YouTube around Stardew Valley. What I’ve discovered over the last year is that I have more to say than these platform generally allow for peoples attention span, mine included 😉 So cheers to another new internet adventure!

WordPress prompted me to talk about myself so here it goes.

Basically I am a tired millennial y’all, and I know for sure I’m not alone. I did the whole grind like we’re supposed to. I went through college, graduated with two masters degrees, and now I’m working my way up that managerial chain.

And all I can say is that I’ve left my 20s pretty exhausted wondering if that was all worth it? I’m unsure if this is the path I want to continue down in my 30s.

So here I am, looking for an escape from that 9-5!

I can’t up and quit my day job but I sure can embark on some side quests to forget the sting of adulting (oops is that too cheugy?). On this blog I’ll talk about all the things I generally enjoy to try and forget the burden of working a 9-5. I had to drop a lot of interests during college due to the high demand of mental capacity on my potato brain. I’m pretty much re-entering all the domains of interests I once had but as a total newbie because everything has changed a lot since like 2009 haha.

I plan on writing *mostly* about four different topics:

Gaming: Enter the gamer girl, but she’s 30 and trying to figure it out again :’) HEY if you ever loved gaming and wanted to get back into it I highly recommend it! I’ve found such a wonderfully kind community online and am more than happy to introduce you to my virtual homies.

Back to my journey keke. At the end of 2020 I fell under the Stardew Valley spell before selling my soul to Tom Nook. I started playing Animal Crossing New Horizon’s in January 2021 and just recently put it down. On Twitch I built a Boston citycore themed Island and finished Happy Home Paradise. I could see myself going back because the game is really that good!

I really sold my soul huh :’)

Other than that I’m a variety gamer and my interests go all over the board because I’m trying to figure out what I like. I love playing games with my peeps online and playing solo. I love video games from my childhood that are now retro (*sob* when did that happen?) and have been working on playing games I missed while college consumed my life. For the most part I spend most of my time these days simulation farming and hunting ghosts. Two very different genres but I’m here for it, love the variety 🤣

I’ve learned a lot over the past year by immersing myself into this very new online world. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and hopefully make some more new friends in the gaming community through this blog 🙂

Reading: My reading historically has been all over the place from fiction, non-fiction, historical, sociology, psychology, etc. Lately my interests have been geared towards ways to rest my mind.

Enter in manga.

I started reading manga in September 2021 and I have enough volumes to warrant me needing a new bookshelf although we definitely do not have the space. Oops… lol. I have no idea how that happened but here we are 😆 I love reading manga digitally, definitely makes it easier to carry on the go. For now I’ll mostly write about my new found obsession over manga with updates on my manga collection and thoughts on what I’m currently reading.

Spoiler alert, all the manga series I love it’s because I get overly attached to one character (usually a hottie) and I tend to lean towards reading shonens. So if that’s your jam plz fangirl with me 🙂

Watching: This category is so wide. No lie I think watching Crunchyroll, YouTube, Twitch, Hulu, and Netflix are my go tos because it takes the least amount of mental capacity. I’m not sure what I’ll write about? What BigBang music video I’ve discovered from the archives? What animes am I currently watching? This one I’m not so sure about but I’m sure it’ll come with time.

Traveling: I sure do love planning and organizing! I think that’s my love language if that’s a category?

I’m excited to share the things I have learned and some tips to help others plan trips. Also, did I mention that I spent most of my 20s in college? So I’ll def be writing about traveling on a dime! Ya girl knows it well lol.

Not to mention, if you share any of the same interests I’ve listed above you’re in the right place. I love to share all the nerdy/geeky/however you want to categorize it places I’ve been to. Often this can be hard to find a decent review/guide on but I’m hoping to help ease your traveling worries, I know how limited time can be!

The world has really changed since I last actively spent time planning trips and traveling abroad. Now that we’re able to make our way out in the world again I’m excited but honestly kinda scared to hop back into this hobby. Definitely interested in sharing the experience with you!
