Fall is couch season for me. Something about fall makes me go into ultimate sloth mode. Pile on the blankets and stack the plushies on top of me, it’s time to get comfy 🛋
If I’m not curled up with my Switch then I’m most likely watching an anime on our projector or on my iPad if I’m extra lazy hehe.
While Bungo Stray Dogs is my go to comfort anime, the lineup this fall is finally going to break that! There are so many fantastic releases coming up within the next month alone 🤩
My Top 5 Most Anticipated Anime Releases
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 | Movie (Release Sept. 21,2022)

I am so excited for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie to finally come to Crunchyroll for everyone to watch! The official release date is 9/21 so IT’S ALREADY OUT GO WATCH IT!
I started the Jujutsu Kaisen series by reading Chapter 0 on the Shonen Jump app and it quickly became my favorite. The art style, characters, plot, lines, honestly everything about this series just clicks with my brain and I can’t get enough!
When I started reading JJK0 I sent so many screenshots of Panda to my sister like whyyy is there a talking panda in this? I loved him! I also had no idea that the overall series wasn’t about Yuta and the other first years in JJK0 tho so when I started Chapter 1 I was very confused 😂
I watched the JJK0 movie on the USA release day in theaters and it was such a great experience! It’s definitely different to watch a movie on the big screen with other fans who are clapping and cheering as our favorites come on the screen hehe.
Speaking of favorites, one of the best scene in the movie hands down! I’m completely biased because my obsession with Nanami Kento is unmatched 🥰
Absolutely epic 😍 Ugh, I saw all the figurines they have in the Crunchyroll store aaaaand I’m thiiiiiiiiiiis close to starting a Nanami shrine 💀 Don’t be surprised when it happens 😅

I brought my husband with me to watch this in theaters and while he had questions after I think the movie does an okay job introducing a lot of the story elements about curses and Jujutsu sorcerers.
TBH I find that animes are never as descriptive as the manga so if you’re really into JJK I def recommend reading the manga!

Quite possibly my most anticipated anime release this fall!
My husband and I watched through My Hero Academia last fall after finishing Haikyuu!! and I really loved Todoroki *I mean* the anime hehe.
I’m into super hero stories and really loved the whole cast of heroes and villains.
I think in particular, Sting stands out to me because his whole philosophy really makes you question if heroes are doing more good than bad. I liked how Kohei Horikoshi included a character like that.
I haven’t started the manga because I really enjoy the anime. I like being surprised by each episode but waiting for this season to release was rough so depending on how this season ends I just might start the manga… we’ll see lol.
Spy x Family | Season 1 Pt. 2 (Release October 1, 2022)

I started reading Spy x Family last year and became obsessed with the Forgers.
Obviously I loved Twilight the panel he was introduced hehe. A real shock for me tho was how quickly I fell in love with the whole Forger family!
Each family member has their own back story and the way everything interlinks was just so interesting and clever to me. Also, Anya and all her faces! How could I not love her?
I was absolutely over the moon when the anime was announced!
Honestly, zero shocks it’s gained so much popularity. The manga was so good and the anime imo does an amazing job translating all the characters and scenes.
I think the manga kind of revolves more around Twilight and the anime more around Anya. But either way I won’t complain because the anime is so funny and lighthearted.
I got my best friend into Spy x Family and we watched season one together. I’m so excited to start that up again this fall! (Light spoiler under highlight so beware) And I cannot wait for best boy Bond to finally come home 🐶

Mob Psycho 100 | Season 3 (Release October 5, 2022)

My husband and I started watching Mob this spring. He had heard a lot of good things about it and whoever he heard it from was right!
I love paranormal animes and this one falls onto that list. It was a tad slow in the beginning but once it picked up I just wanted to see what would happen next for Mob.
I’m also a big One Punch Man anime fan so when I found out it was the same mangaka I was like duh okay this makes sense lol.
I think this is the last season of the show which is really sad but I’m still excited to watch how it all comes together. Mob is an interesting protagonist so this one might end up on my manga shelf.
Chainsaw Man | Season 1 (Release October 12, 2022)
Synopsis: Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. I have yet to hop on to the Chainsaw Man hype train but after seeing key visuals of the anime and trailers, I’m ready! Send me my ticket 🎟😂
I honestly don’t know much about this series besides the manga covers being sick and it’s popular enough that I saw a Chainsaw Man at every con I’ve gone to this year.
I’ve read posts from friends with similar taste and it’s a real big mix. I feel like people are either crazy about Chainsaw Man or are like what the heck did I just read?
I love MAPPA studio tho and from what I’ve watched in the trailers it looks stunning. I feel like I could go either way tho 😆 So I guess we will see next month!
